After being away from my phone celebrating a two-day Jewish holiday, I came online last night to the horrific news of what’s been happening in Israel. I needed to find my bearings, check in on friends, and allow myself time to mentally process everything I witnessed. The loss of one Jewish life affects all Jewish lives, which is what is making this so difficult for each of us. However, I hang onto the information that Rabbi YY Jacobson shared in an article that appeared in a recent publication: “The tyrants and Anti-semites in history could sadly wipe out individual Jews, but never the Jewish People. “Tzebor lo mas” (The community of Israel never dies)”. It is this fact that is giving me strength and helping me to go on. #AmYisroelChai
